98% Shiraz from Greenock in the Barossa. 2% riesling. Take classic, assertive, commanding tannin and mould it to delicate, bright, meaty fruit. This is a wine and a half, quality-wise, but it’s light on its feet; it’s not heavy or deep; it’s different. Plum, rust, saltbush and leather flavours put on an authoritative show, complete with X-factor, complete with wow.
