100% Bush Vine Mataro - Krondorf Vineyard, Barossa Valley. Organically farmed, single block of bush vines planted in 2014. Soil: Sandy loam over heavy red clay over a calcareous subsoil.  Handpicked. 100% whole bunch indigenous yeast fermentation for 3 weeks.  Basket pressed to a 450L French Oak puncheon and aged for 20 months. Tasting Notes: Intrinsic immediate appeal here.  Primal, meaty, earthen clay, rocks, red and blue fruit highlights.  Sarsaparilla, liquorice and cloves. Full mouthfeel of dark red and blue fruits overlayed with spice, sarsaparilla tones and iron. A soft palate of fine rustic Mataro tannin that holds with lovely length and breadth.
