100% Grenache - Krondorf Vineyard, Barossa Valley. Organically farmed, single block planted in 1903. No fining, no filtration. Soil: Sandy loam over heavy red clay over calcareous subsoil. 15.2% Alc.

Tasting notes:  Deep red and blue fruits.  Red currant, bright cherry and fresh figs.  The iron laden clay of the soils evident in the beautiful fruit and tannin structure.  Powerful yet fresh and vibrant with a medley of fruits, a mix of vibrant strawberries, raspberries and blueberries.  Cola, aniseed and dark spice through the mid palate and finish.  This would be a treat with spice laden duck or lamb dishes.
