52% Grenache, 48%  Bushvine Mataro - Krondorf Vineyard, Barossa Valley. Organically farmed, single vineyard. Soil: Sandy loam over heavy red clay over marl and calcareous subsoil. No fining, no filtration. 13.5% Alc.
 
Tasting notes: Dark brooding mineral red fruits that have clarity along with fresh meaty tones, anise, gingerbread and dark spices.  Lovely cool red to blue fruited palate with gamey and spicy notes.  Some dried herbs, red currants, liquorice and tobacco.  Complex yet clear pure fruits with the bass tones, dark brooding fruits and savoury edge of Mataro coming to the fore. Plenty of interest and drinkability here.
